Blogging for Awareness, Day 4

All month long, Hopeful Parents is celebrating National Family Caregivers Month and National Blog Posting Month. Celebrating is as easy as 1-2-3:

1. If you blog about your child with special needs, include your post for the day below. More details about Hopeful Parents Blogging for Awareness are here.

2. If you like Hopeful Parents, let everyone know by "liking" us on Facebook! Click on the "Like" button on our sidebar, or visit our Facebook profile. We're trying to get to 5,000 likes by the end of the month...

3. If you luuuuvvvvv Hopeful Parents, become a member! All month long, we're giving you one good reason every day to join. Reason No. 4:

You want to honor our writers!

There are approximately 60 people who write for Hopeful Parents every month. Some of them have been writing with us since our very first day; others have recently joined. Our writers don’t get paid...they do it from the kindness of their hearts, their desire to share their stories, and their commitment to creating awareness about caregiving and special needs.

Please show our writers your support by becoming a member of Hopeful Parents. If we reach our goal of 250 members by the end of the year, some of the membership dues will be used to provide our writers a small honorarium at the end of the year as a show of thanks. I really want to do this for them, and hope you do too.

We have no paid staff at Hopeful Parents, and without the writers, there would be no website. Please do this for them.

That's all for today...see you tomorrow! And don't forget to add your link. Let's create some awareness about what it's like to care for a child with special needs!
