I had such an easy time in school and didn't have to work hard at all. My younger child is having a similar experience, but my son has always had such a difficult time. It really made me stop and take a look at how I viewed education and the accomplishments of others' children. And it's not (really) jealousy, but there is pain there...mostly for my son, and knowing what it takes for him to get through a school day and to be successful at all. If we are good at something it tends to be because we were born that way.
