I was not one of those women who was in love with her babies from the first sight; mostly I felt exhausted, and, with the first one, scared and wondering how the heck I was going to handle this whole thing. Fortunately I had a friend who warned me, before my first was born, that I shouldn't panic if I didn't bond with him immediately, that it would come with time. And she was right; it did come. Eldest is 9,...10mths ago, Mother's Day morning. Eldest is 9, goes next door (live on farm with them) for his weekly Sun breaky.
