We're hopeful parents...
are you?

Our kids have all kinds of special needs, mild to severe. Some of us grieve the loss of our children. We do the very best we can, which often takes a toll on us. We come here to share our feelings with other parents who understand. We're searching for every parent of a child with special needs. Are you hopeful, too? If so, join us!

Really?

Well imagine my surprise when at dinner this evening I realised that today was the 8th of July, I paused as I chewed and thought that can't be right, it hasn't been a whole month since I sat down and wrote for Hopeful Parents or has it.

Indeed it has been a month, a busy month indeed in which I travelled with my small people - a trip of many firsts - came home and celebrated birthdays, ran a well of day camp and am now home enjoying the beauty that is summer in the country.

There are fireflies and gardens, pools and friends, more birthdays and water fights in the yard, hugs, hats and sunburns, butterflies and strawberries. Summer is glorious around here and I need to love every minute of it because it is gone so very fast. So tonight I am going to leave you with one thought...

What makes you most happy about summer with your children?

Tomorrow, or soon after, I will be back with a post about another thing, a post that is still in my head that I need to think about a little more.

I love just being about to ENJOY them a bit. Though my schedule puts me out of the house every evening, now that it is summer, we have the days together for fun stuff like swimming and going to the movies and they've both been really well behaved thus far.
