We're hopeful parents...
are you?

Our kids have all kinds of special needs, mild to severe. Some of us grieve the loss of our children. We do the very best we can, which often takes a toll on us. We come here to share our feelings with other parents who understand. We're searching for every parent of a child with special needs. Welcome!

Do Something Nice for Yourself

As parents of children with special needs, we often put our needs last. Short-term, it's probably a necessity to do so, but long-term can be a real detriment to the ability to parent. An exhausted parent is usually not an effective one. With that, I challenge you to find one thing you will do for yourself today or tomorrow -- it can be as small as reading an article in your favorite magazine or spending a moment to feel grateful for the blessings in your life. Leave a comment about what you'll do, and see if you can stick to it!

I'm going to get my haircut in... 20 minutes! An hour, alone. Someone else to wash my hair. Yay!
